The Experience

Real Cars. Real Track. Real Progress.

Every session happens in a properly prepared machine on a real circuit β€” helmet on, data running, full focus. This isn't a classroom exercise. You'll feel the difference from the very first lap.

Bring your own car or ask about coaching in the BRZ. Either way, you'll leave faster, smoother, and more in control.

FAQ

Common Questions

What car do I need?

For your very first track day, usually nothing special β€” most road-legal cars are fine, and a coach or lead-follow will keep the pace well within your car's limits. I coach in your car so you learn the machine you actually drive.

Do I need previous track experience?

Not at all. Brand-new drivers are exactly who HPDE days are built for. In fact, it's often easier to coach someone with no bad habits than to retrain an experienced driver.

Do I need to modify my car for my first track day?

Almost certainly not. For a first HPDE day you won't reach a pace that requires modifications β€” go enjoy it, see if you love it, and then we can talk about what's actually worth doing. (I've written about this on the blog.)

Where do you coach?

I'm a certified HPDE coach at Calabogie Motorsports Park, and I take on private coaching at events around Ontario, including Shannonville Motorsports Park and Track & Time events. Based out of the Ottawa area.

Is it safe?

Track driving is managed risk, not recklessness β€” and HPDE is one of the safest, most structured ways to enjoy your car at speed. All my coaching puts control and understanding ahead of outright speed. Safety is always the first lesson.
